Project Exhibits

12/03/2014 - Public Hearing

On December 3, 2014, the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT), in conjunction with Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. (CMT), held a public hearing regarding the Cedar Lake Phase I Project. The goal of the hearing was to present the proposed improvements, answer questions, and collect comments from the public. Five (5) exhibits were presented to the public and they are shown below.

Exhibit1 Click on picture to enlarge. This exhibit shows the existing conditions of Cedar Lake Road within the project limits and surrounding area. The exhibit also shows some of the reasons why this project is necessary. 
Exhibit2   Click on picture to enlarge. The top of this exhibit shows the cross section of the planned roadway improvement. The bottom of the exhibit shows how the roadway could ultimately be expanded if necessary in the future.
Exhibit3 Click on picture to enlarge. This exhibit shows a plan view of the proposed improvements.
Exhibit4 Exhibit4 Click on picture to enlarge. This exhibit is the project schedule. Construction is programmed for 2017; however, construction could occur in 2016 if funds are available.
Exhibit5 Exhibit5 Click on picture to enlarge. The Lake County Forest Preserve District's Nippersink Forest Preserve borders the project on the west. This exhibit presents preliminary plans that the Forest Preserve District has to improve the preserve and make it more accessible to residents.
